From Passion to Innovation – Our Story

BioGecko Food is a specialized food brand developed for fruit-eating geckos and other lizards. The brand was born from years of experience in reptile breeding and from the work of Bioterr – a company founded in 2012 by Daniel Kuś, a passionate herpetologist, breeder, and expert with over 15 years of experience.

Our journey began with the online store bioterr.pl, which has supplied reptile keepers for years with high-quality accessories, decorations, substrates, exotic mosses and plants, feeder insects, supplements, terrariums, and many other products imported directly from trusted suppliers. Hundreds of thousands of customers have already trusted us, as confirmed by nearly 5,000 positive reviews and 3rd place in the "Animals" category of the PCAA by Trustmate awards in both 2024 and 2025.

We actively participate in the most important reptile expos in Poland and across Europe, building strong relationships with breeders, customers, and partners from all over the continent.

Real Breeding Experience Behind Every Product

Over the years, we have professionally bred many rare snake species, including Rhadinophis, Oreocryptophis, Pantherophis, Euprepiophis, Rrhynchophis, as well as geckos from the genera Correlophus and Rhacodactylus. Today, we use that practical experience to create products that reflect the actual needs of these animals – not just market expectations.

BioGecko Food – Backed by Research and Testing

Our food formulas are the result of many years of nutritional analysis, conversations with breeders, and palatability testing – not only in home terrariums. In 2025, our recipes were also tested on wild Lygodactylus and Phelsuma geckos in Tanzania. Additionally, our food has undergone independent laboratory testing, ensuring its quality and safety.

Direct Import & In-House Production

Since 2015, we've imported cork oak bark from Portugal; since 2019, coconut substrates from Sri Lanka; and from 2025, Dragon Stone from Asia. Thanks to our own import channels, we control quality and offer fair pricing. Our food is produced in-house in Tychy, Poland, following strict hygiene protocols and quality procedures.

We draw our knowledge and inspiration from travels to many corners of the globe. We've visited countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Central America to observe reptiles in their natural environments. This helps us create products that better reflect their real needs. At the same time, we build strong relationships with suppliers and personally verify the quality of raw materials.
